People clean the house and light the lamp in pooja room then they light agarbathis and sambranis to fill the house with good fragrance. The symbol of purity is white so people wear white costumes, jasmine flowers and also do pal payasam.

38th District of TamilNadu Mayiladuthurai

The State Government of Tamil Nadu has released an official order regarding the formation of a new district Mayiladuthurai. Mayiladuthurai will be the 38th district of Tamilnadu. Mayliaduthurai was earlier part of the Nagappattinam district. Mayiladuthurai has around 12 lakh resident.

The imporatant announcement was given by Chief Minister of Tamilnadu E. Palaniswamy in the Tamilnadu Legislative Assembly. This has been long pending and people of Mayiladuthurai will be very happy on hearing the news.


The Revenue Administration Commissioner will take the responsibility for the activities against the coronavirus spread as a new collector for the district is yet to be announced.


6 new districts have been formed in the state of Tamil Nadu in the last one year. Tamilnadu has 38 districts

Kendriya Vidyalaya Online Admissions 2019 Starts Today(01/03/2019)

Kendriya vidyalaya which functuions under the direct control of centrals government has started their school admissions 2019. There are 1199 Kendriya vidyalaya schools throughout india. Tamilnadu has 49 Kendriya vidyalaya schools of which 14 are in chennai and its suburbs.




The online registration for school admissions in Kendriya Vidyalaya admissions 2019 has started today. The admissions are for class1 as there is not LKG and UKG in Kendriya vidyalaya schools.

For Class 1
The online registration will start from 8:00 AM March 01 2019. It will be available till 4:00 PM March 19 2019.

For Class 2 onwards
The online registration will start from 8:00 AM April 02 2019. It will be available till 4:00 PM April 09 2019.

Tamilnadu 10th Public Exam Time Table 2018

Tamilnadu Educational Department has released the Time Table for 10th / SSLC Public Examination for the academic year 2017-2018 on June 6th 2017. They had announced this very earlier itself for the benefit of the students. Tamilnadu Hikes Bus Fares after six years - Latest update
Tamilnadu government increased fares of government buses. For the past six years there was no hike. They had increased the Minimum fare of Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) buses in Chennai from Rs. 3 to Rs. 5, and the maximum from Rs 14 to Rs 23. In case of non-metros they have increased from Rs 3 to Rs 19 and for mofussil services, the fare has been increased by nearly a third. This was declared yesterday evening by the state transport department.
